Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance Tampa Bay , is a nonprofit and all volunteer organization for individuals, family and friends of those who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, depression and other affective disorders. (note: bipolar was formerly known as manic depression).

We provide peer bipolar and depression support group meetings through out the Tampa Bay area, an educational lecture series, this informative web site, and an excellent newsletter.

Please refer to our depression and bipolar support group schedule to find a support meeting that is convenient to you. All that you need to do is show up. You do not need to pay dues to attend our meetings. Dress is very casual. The meetings follow a relaxed format and are led by your peers who have been trained to effectively facilitate the meetings.

If you or a loved one or somebody who struggles with mood disorders, bipolar disorder, depression (variants include major depression, clinical depression and others) please come to one of our support group meetings.

We do not endorse, approve, recommend, or certify any information, specific treatment, medication, service, or professional presented or mentioned on this web site. We are a chapter of the national level Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (based in Chicago) which, along with this chapter was founded in 1985 in Chicago.
